Principal’s Message 2026: Rising Above, Moving Ahead (updated Jun 2026) 

 Bedok Viewans, colleagues, parents, and friends, 

As we stepped into 2026, we did so with a renewed sense of purpose, guided by our theme for the year: “Rising Above, Moving Ahead”. This theme reflects our collective ambition to transcend challenges and continuously progress toward excellence in all that we do.

A Foundation of Gratitude and Commitment

We are immensely proud of our 2025 cohort. Their hard work and persistence were reflected in our national examination results, which stand as a testament to the unwavering support of our teachers and our deep belief in the boundless potential of every Bedok Viewan who walks through our gates. 

Foundation of Culture: Safety

Our shared commitments remain the cornerstone of the Bedok View experience. We are dedicated to ensuring a school environment that keeps everyone SAFE, helps every student STRIVE, and enables every individual to SHINE.

To "Rise Above," we must first ensure a strong foundation of safety. At Bedok View, safety is the bedrock of growth. It is not merely a set of rules but a psychological state where every student feels secure enough to take risks. Through our Safety Code, we empower our students to take ownership of this culture through three ways:

The Journey Toward Growth: Striving and Shining

By consistently practicing these three "Ways," our students do more than just follow rules; they become the authors of their own stories. Real growth occurs when we courageously step out of our Comfort Zone, navigate through the Fear Zone, and finally flourish in the Growth Zone. By balancing the discipline that builds integrity with the creativity that fosters self-confidence, we create a vibrant space where everyone can truly shine.

Moving Ahead Together: Toward BV50 and Beyond

As we move ahead into the latter half of 2026, our sights are set on a momentous milestone: BV50, which arrives in just a few months. Let us work together to curate these events and make BV50 a memorable experience for everyone, ensuring the BV story continues long beyond 2027.

I encourage all students to lead alongside their teachers and the wider BV family using the three "Ways." Let us keep our eyes firmly on the golden horizon as we shape the next 50 years and beyond for Bedok View with Care, Courage, and Challenge, unwaveringly anchored in our educational approach: Keeping all Safe, Helping all Strive, and Enabling every Bedok Viewan to Shine!
