Sports Talent Areas

Offered Sports

  • Badminton (Boys)

  • Basketball (Boys & Girls)

  • Football (Boys)

  • Netball (Girls)

  • Track & Field (Boys & Girls)

Selection Criteria
Applicants should demonstrate the following:
i. Strong passion and aptitude in a specific sport. Students must demonstrate a relatively high level of skill and interest in the sport they are applying for.
ii. CCA participation and achievements — preferably represented their school at the National School Games (NSG) level or equivalent platforms.
iii. Academic performance of at least 50% overall for Primary 5 and Primary 6 results.
iv. Conduct Grade of at least Very Good.
v. Relevant sporting experience and achievements will be considered, where available. 

Selection Process
Shortlisted applicants will be required to attend an interview and selection trials.

Performing Arts Talent Areas

Offered Performing Arts

  • Concert Band (Boys & Girls)

  • Choir (Girls)

  • English Drama (Boys & Girls)

  • Guzheng Ensemble (Boys & Girls)

  • Modern Dance (Boys & Girls)

Selection Criteria
Applicants should demonstrate the following:

i. Strong passion and aptitude in a specific performing art. Students must demonstrate a relatively high level of skill and interest in the performing art they are applying for.
ii. CCA participation and achievements — preferably represented their school at the Singapore Youth Festival (SYF) level or equivalent platforms.
iii. Academic performance of at least 50% overall for Primary 5 and Primary 6 results.
iv. Conduct Grade of at least Very Good.
v. Relevant performing art experience and achievements will be considered, where available. 

Selection Process
Shortlisted applicants will be required to attend an interview and audition.

  • Applications must be submitted via the online DSA-Sec Portal.

  • Application is free of charge.

📩 Shortlisting Notification
By 26 June 2026

  • Parents will be notified if their child has been shortlisted for DSA selection.

🎯 Trials, Auditions and/or Interviews
29 June – 28 August 2026

  • Shortlisted applicants will attend trials, auditions and/or interviews at Bedok View Secondary School.

📢 Application Outcomes
Between 17 August and 28 August 2026

  • All applicants will receive the outcome of their DSA applications.

📝 School Preference Submission
19 October 2026 (9:00am) – 23 October 2026 (4:30pm)

  • Students with at least one DSA offer (including from SOTA) will receive an SMS and email via Postman.gov.sg

  • Only one parent is required to log in to the DSA-Sec Portal to submit school preferences.

  • Parents who are unable to submit online may approach their child’s primary school for assistance.

🎓 Final Results Release
By End November 2026

  • Students in MOE mainstream primary schools will receive their DSA-Sec results together with their PSLE results.

Important Notes

  • Parents and students are encouraged to choose schools wisely based on the students’ aptitudes and strengths, bearing in mind the schools’ academic and non-academic requirements, and the programmes available to develop the area of talent.

  • Applicants who do not have prior experience may also apply. The school will assess applicants based on the selection criteria, which may include assessing the potential of the applicants.

  • Meeting all the criteria does not guarantee the student will be shortlisted/given an offer.

  • Students who are successfully admitted to the school via DSA are required to honour their commitment to the school and participate in the activities related to the talent they are selected for from Sec 1 to Sec 4.
