2. Subjects at More Demanding Level (MDL) and Less Demanding Level (LDL)
A live briefing session via Microsoft Teams will be held
on Monday, 22 December, to help parents and students understand
the process of offering subjects at both the More Demanding Level (MDL)
and Less Demanding Level (LDL). All parents will receive the MS Teams link
to join the session and find out more about the subject offering process.
A Parents Gateway notification containing the Microsoft Teams link will be sent by 6 pm Friday, 19 December.
3. MTL & Third Language Matters
Higher MTL
The school offers Higher Chinese Language and Higher Malay Language. Eligibility
is based on students’ PSLE results and aptitude. Parents will receive a
consent form via Parents Gateway/WhatsApp by 19 December.
For enquiries, please contact
(i) phoa_chye_hou_desmond@schools.gov.sg
(ii) ji_yu@schools.gov.sg
Third Language
Students who have applied for a Third Language will be notified of their
application outcomes via Parents Gateway.
4. Art and Music Elective Programmes
The MOE Art Elective Programme (AEP) and Music Elective Programme (MEP)
are offered at selected secondary schools and centres for students with
strong aptitude and passion in these areas, regardless of their Posting
Group.
As Bedok View is not an AEP/MEP centre, interested students may apply to join the centre-based AEP/MEP as external students.
An information sheet with details on these programmes will be shared via Parents Gateway. Art and Music teachers will also brief students during lessons.
Students who wish to apply should inform their subject teachers.
Application window: 2 – 15 January 2026
5. MOE Financial Assistance Scheme (MOE FAS)
To apply for the MOE FAS for your child/ward, please visit MOE’s website and apply online. Alternatively, you may download the form from the same website or collect a hard copy from our General Office.
Completed application forms and supporting documents may be submitted:
-
Via email: bedokview_ss@moe.edu.sg, or
-
In person at the General Office
Deadline: Friday, 26 December 2025
If your child’s primary school has already approved the 2026 MOE FAS application, please forward a copy of the approval letter to us.
Please wait for the FAS approval letter from Bedok View Secondary School before purchasing any books or uniform.
Families who proceed with purchases before receiving the approval letter will not be eligible for reimbursement.
6. Transfer Application
For transfer to another school (due to medical reasons)
If you feel that Bedok View Secondary School is unable to meet your child’s physical or health needs, you may submit a transfer appeal, in person at Bedok View Secondary School. Appeals must be submitted by 12pm on 22 December 2025. Appeals are considered only in exceptional cases, such as:
-
Serious medical conditions (e.g. chronic heart or kidney problems)
-
Severe physical impairments (e.g. requiring a wheelchair)
Please bring along the supporting documents (e.g. medical reports, doctor’s letters) for the transfer appeal.
School staff will assist you with the process. Appeal outcomes will be
released by early January.
Students should continue attending their posted school while waiting for
the results.
More information can be found at MOE’s website.
For transfer to another school (due to non-medical reasons)
If you wish to appeal for a transfer due to non-medical reasons, please note:
· Appeals should be submitted directly to your preferred school.
· Your child must meet the school’s cut-off point (COP) and admission criteria.
· Admission is subject to available vacancies.
· Schools manage their own appeals and may request additional documents.
· Appeal outcomes are usually available from mid-January.
Changing schools can disrupt your child’s learning. We encourage parents
to allow their child to settle into the posted school to ease their adjustment
to secondary school life.
For transfer into Bedok View Secondary School
Students
appealing to transfer into Bedok View Secondary School must:
-
Meet the school’s Cut-Off Point (COP); and
-
Not have been admitted through the DSA route.
Applications will be considered subject to vacancies. Please complete and submit the S1 Appeal Application Form via https://go.gov.sg/bv-s1appeal-2026 by Friday, 26 December 2025, 12.00 pm.
7. Important Notes for First Day of School on Friday, 2 January 2026
